Ethical Guidelines

Ethical Oversight

Jurnal Ekonomi Administrasi dan Sosial (JEAS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal follows ethical publishing principles recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Ethical oversight in JEAS includes policies related to informed consent, confidentiality, research involving human participants, data integrity, conflict of interest disclosure, and responsible academic publication practices.

Research Involving Human Participants

Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards and institutional regulations applicable to the research context.

Authors should clearly state that informed consent has been obtained from participants where necessary and that the research has received ethical approval from the relevant institution or ethics committee when applicable.

Personal data, privacy, and participant confidentiality must be protected throughout the research process.

Example of Ethical Statement:

“This research was conducted in accordance with institutional ethical standards. Informed consent was obtained from all participants involved in the study.”

Data Integrity and Research Transparency

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all data presented in the manuscript are accurate, authentic, and obtained through ethical research procedures.

Fabrication, falsification, manipulation of data, and misleading interpretation of results are considered serious ethical violations and are not tolerated by JEAS.

Authorship and Contribution

All listed authors must have made significant academic contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.

Individuals who did not contribute substantially should not be listed as authors. All contributors and funding sources should be appropriately acknowledged.

Plagiarism and Originality

Submitted manuscripts must be original works and free from plagiarism. Authors must properly cite and acknowledge all sources used in their research and writing.

JEAS conducts plagiarism screening using academic similarity checking software before manuscripts proceed to peer review.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the research, review, or publication process.

Confidentiality

Editors and reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose manuscript information to unauthorized parties.

Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors or ethical issues are identified after publication, JEAS may publish corrections, clarifications, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with publication ethics standards.
