Peer Review Process
Jurnal Ekonomi Administrasi dan Sosial (JEAS) applies a double-blind peer review process. In this review system, reviewers do not know the identity of the author(s), and authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. This process is intended to ensure an objective, fair, and unbiased evaluation of every submitted manuscript.
The peer review process generally takes approximately 8–12 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers, the quality of the manuscript, and the revision process.
Peer Review Process
- Initial Editorial Review
The Editor evaluates the submitted manuscript to determine whether it is suitable for the journal’s focus and scope, complies with the author guidelines, and meets academic writing standards. The manuscript is also checked for plagiarism or similarity using plagiarism detection software. - Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers using a double-blind review process. - Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, relevance, methodology, clarity, contribution to knowledge, and references used. Reviewers provide comments and recommendations to the editor and authors. - Revision Process
The corresponding author receives reviewers’ comments and is requested to revise the manuscript accordingly. Authors should provide responses to each reviewer comment. - Editorial Decision
The editorial team discusses reviewer recommendations and determines the final editorial decision. - Final Notification
The Editor communicates the final decision to the corresponding author through the journal system. - Copyediting and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and final publication.
Review Outcomes
Based on the peer review process, the Editor may issue one of the following decisions:
Reject
