Withdrawal of Manuscript
Jurnal Ilmu Politik, Pemerintahan dan Komunikasi (JIPPK) recognizes that authors may occasionally need to withdraw a manuscript from the publication process. However, manuscript withdrawal should be requested only under reasonable and justifiable circumstances, as the editorial and peer-review processes require considerable time, effort, and professional commitment from editors and reviewers.
Authors are encouraged to ensure that manuscripts are complete, accurate, and ready for evaluation before submission. Submission of a manuscript indicates the authors’ commitment to participate in the editorial and peer-review process in good faith and in accordance with accepted standards of scholarly publishing.
Requests for manuscript withdrawal must be submitted formally by the corresponding author through the journal’s official communication channels. The request should clearly explain the reasons for withdrawal and, where applicable, include confirmation that all co-authors agree with the decision.
Manuscripts may be withdrawn before a final editorial decision is made, subject to editorial review and approval. The editorial team reserves the right to evaluate each withdrawal request in accordance with publication ethics, editorial considerations, and the stage of the review process.
Withdrawal requests may receive particular scrutiny when a manuscript has already entered peer review, undergone substantial editorial processing, or received reviewer evaluations. The journal discourages withdrawal requests that arise from simultaneous submissions to other journals, duplicate publication practices, or attempts to circumvent the peer-review process.
In cases involving ethical concerns, significant errors, authorship disputes, or other legitimate academic reasons, the editorial office will work with the authors to resolve the matter appropriately and in accordance with recognized publication ethics standards.
JIPPK is committed to maintaining professional editorial practices, responsible scholarly communication, and respect for the contributions of authors, reviewers, and editors throughout the publication process.
