Peer Review Process
Social: Jurnal Manajemen dan Kewirausahaan applies a double-blind peer review process. In this review system, reviewers do not know the identity of the author(s), and authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. This process is intended to ensure an objective, fair, independent, and unbiased evaluation of every submitted manuscript.
The peer review process generally takes approximately 8–12 weeks, depending on reviewer availability, manuscript quality, and the revision process.
Peer Review Process
1. Initial Editorial Review
The Editor evaluates the submitted manuscript to determine whether it is suitable for the journal’s focus and scope, complies with the author guidelines, and meets academic writing standards.
At this stage, the manuscript is also checked using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality and compliance with publication ethics standards.
2. Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers through a double-blind review process.
Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, academic qualifications, and research experience relevant to the manuscript topic.
3. Peer Review Evaluation
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several academic aspects, including:
Originality and novelty
Relevance to the journal scope
Theoretical contribution
Methodological rigor
Clarity of presentation
Quality of analysis and discussion
Relevance and adequacy of references
Reviewers provide constructive comments, suggestions, and recommendations to both the editor and the authors.
4. Revision Process
The corresponding author receives reviewer comments through the journal system and is requested to revise the manuscript accordingly.
Authors are expected to provide clear responses to each reviewer comment and submit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
5. Editorial Decision
The editorial team considers reviewers’ recommendations and determines the final editorial decision based on academic merit and journal standards.
6. Final Notification
The Editor communicates the final decision to the corresponding author through the journal submission system.
7. Copyediting and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the following publication stages:
Copyediting
Proofreading
Layout editing
Final publication
The editorial team may communicate with authors during this process to ensure publication quality and accuracy.
Review Outcomes
Reject
The manuscript is rejected and will not be published in Social: Jurnal Manajemen dan Kewirausahaan. Rejected manuscripts are generally not reconsidered unless specifically invited by the editor.
Major Revision
The manuscript requires substantial revisions and may undergo another round of peer review after resubmission.
Minor Revision
The manuscript requires minor revisions or improvements before acceptance. The revised manuscript may be evaluated by the editor and/or reviewers.
Accept
The manuscript is accepted for publication in its current or revised form.
