Author Guidelines

Journal of Learning and Educational Innovation (JLEI)

Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Learning and Educational Innovation (JLEI).

A. General Requirements

The Journal of Learning and Educational Innovation (JLEI) publishes original scholarly works that contribute to the advancement of knowledge, theory, policy, and practice in learning, teaching, and educational innovation.

Submitted manuscripts must meet the following requirements:
Manuscripts must be written in clear and professional English.
The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal, conference proceeding, or publication outlet.
All submissions should be prepared using the official JLEI manuscript template.
Manuscripts should generally contain between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or RefWorks.
References and in-text citations must follow the APA Style (7th Edition).
Authors should ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all references.
Manuscripts must demonstrate a clear theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, and relevance to educational research and practice.
Authors are strongly encouraged to cite recent literature published within the last ten years, particularly articles from reputable international journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism. Submissions with unacceptable levels of similarity or evidence of academic misconduct will be rejected.

C. Manuscript Structure

1. Title

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. Avoid abbreviations and unnecessary wording.

2. Author Information

Authors should provide:
Full name(s)
Institutional affiliation(s)
Email address(es)
ORCID ID(s) (recommended)
Corresponding author details

3. Abstract

The abstract should be between 150–250 words and written as a single paragraph.

The abstract should include:
Background of the study
Research objectives
Methodology
Key findings
Main conclusions and implications
Provide 3–5 keywords immediately below the abstract.

4. Introduction

The introduction should include:
Context and background of the study
Identification of research problems
Research gap
Relevant literature and theoretical foundation
Research objectives and significance

5. Literature Review

This section should critically discuss relevant theories, concepts, and previous studies that underpin the research framework and hypotheses or propositions.

6. Method

The method section should clearly describe:
Research design
Population, sample, or participants
Data collection procedures
Research instruments
Data analysis techniques
Ethical considerations (where applicable)

7. Results

Research findings should be presented clearly, systematically, and objectively.

Tables and figures must:
Be numbered consecutively
Include titles and source information where applicable
Be cited within the text

8. Discussion

The discussion should:
Interpret the findings
Relate results to existing theories and previous studies
Explain theoretical and practical implications
Highlight contributions to educational research and innovation

9. Conclusion

The conclusion should:
Summarize the major findings
Address the research objectives
Present practical and theoretical implications
Suggest directions for future research

10. References

References should:
Primarily consist of peer-reviewed scholarly sources
Be relevant and up to date
Follow APA Style (7th Edition)
Include DOI information whenever available

Authors are encouraged to ensure that at least 80% of references are derived from scholarly journal articles.


D. Publication Ethics

JLEI adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics.

Authors must ensure:
Originality of submitted work
Accurate presentation of research data
Proper acknowledgment of sources
Disclosure of conflicts of interest
Compliance with research ethics standards

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or any form of unethical publishing behavior.


E. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JLEI undergo a double-blind peer review process.

The editorial team conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript's suitability, originality, and compliance with journal guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the preliminary review are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer recommendations.


F. Submission Information

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system.

Before submission, authors should ensure that:
The manuscript follows the JLEI template.
All author information is complete.
References are formatted correctly.
Tables and figures are properly presented.
The manuscript complies with publication ethics standards.
