Withdrawal of Manuscript Policy

Journal of Learning and Educational Innovation (JLEI)

The Journal of Learning and Educational Innovation (JLEI) recognizes that, under certain circumstances, authors may request the withdrawal of a manuscript from the editorial process. However, because manuscript handling, editorial assessment, and peer review require substantial time and effort from editors and reviewers, authors are strongly encouraged to ensure the readiness, originality, and accuracy of their manuscripts before submission.

Conditions for Manuscript Withdrawal

Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript under legitimate circumstances, including but not limited to:

Discovery of significant errors in the submitted manuscript.
Identification of ethical concerns affecting the validity of the research.
Unintentional duplicate submission.
Authorial or institutional issues that prevent continuation of the publication process.
Other reasonable grounds accepted by the editorial office.

All withdrawal requests must be submitted formally by the corresponding author through the journal's official communication channels.

Withdrawal During Editorial Evaluation

A manuscript may be withdrawn during the initial editorial screening stage upon written request from the corresponding author, provided that the manuscript has not yet entered the peer review process.

The editorial office reserves the right to review the circumstances of the request before approving the withdrawal.

Withdrawal During Peer Review

Once a manuscript has entered the peer review process, withdrawal requests will be evaluated carefully because editorial and reviewer resources have already been committed to the assessment of the manuscript.

Authors requesting withdrawal at this stage must provide a clear and reasonable explanation for the request.

The editorial office may approve or decline the withdrawal request based on the circumstances presented.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Requests for withdrawal after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication will only be considered under exceptional circumstances.

Authors must provide compelling justification and supporting documentation where appropriate.

The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Unethical Withdrawal

The journal considers the following actions to be unethical:

Withdrawal without valid justification after substantial editorial or peer review work has been completed.
Submission of the same manuscript to another journal while it is under consideration by JLEI.
Failure to respond to editorial communications for an extended period without explanation.
Attempts to manipulate or circumvent the editorial process.

Cases of unethical withdrawal may be documented by the editorial office and considered in future submission evaluations.

Editorial Discretion

The Editor-in-Chief retains the authority to evaluate and decide upon all manuscript withdrawal requests in accordance with the journal's publication ethics, editorial policies, and best practices in scholarly publishing.

Commitment to Ethical Publishing

JLEI encourages authors to communicate openly and promptly with the editorial office whenever circumstances arise that may affect the submission or publication process. The journal is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and ethical editorial environment for authors, reviewers, and editors alike.
