Plagiarism Check

Journal of Learning and Educational Innovation (JLEI)

The Journal of Learning and Educational Innovation (JLEI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical scholarly publishing.

All manuscripts submitted to JLEI undergo a plagiarism screening process before entering the peer review stage. The purpose of this screening is to ensure the originality of submitted work and to prevent unethical publication practices.

Similarity Screening

Every submitted manuscript is evaluated using recognized plagiarism detection software, such as:
Turnitin
iThenticate
Crossref Similarity Check
Other equivalent academic similarity detection tools

The editorial office conducts an initial similarity assessment before assigning manuscripts for peer review.

Similarity Threshold

As a general guideline:
The overall similarity index should not exceed 25%.
Similarity from any single source should normally not exceed 5%.
Properly quoted text, references, bibliography entries, standard methodological descriptions, and commonly used academic phrases may be excluded from similarity calculations where appropriate.

The editorial team evaluates similarity reports qualitatively as well as quantitatively. A low similarity score does not automatically guarantee originality, and a higher similarity score does not automatically indicate plagiarism.

Forms of Unacceptable Academic Misconduct

The journal does not tolerate:
Plagiarism
Self-plagiarism
Duplicate submission
Redundant publication
Data fabrication
Data falsification
Citation manipulation
Unauthorized use of copyrighted materials

Any manuscript suspected of containing unethical content may be subject to further investigation.

Editorial Actions

Based on the plagiarism screening results, the editorial team may:
Proceed with the peer review process.
Request revisions and proper citation corrections.
Request clarification from the authors.
Reject the manuscript due to excessive similarity or ethical concerns.
Initiate further investigation in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Allegations of Misconduct policies.

Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are expected to:
Submit original and unpublished work.
Properly acknowledge and cite all sources.
Use quotation and paraphrasing appropriately.
Ensure that all borrowed ideas, data, figures, and text are fully attributed.
Comply with international standards of research and publication ethics.

By submitting a manuscript to JLEI, authors confirm that their work is original and complies with the journal's ethical standards regarding plagiarism and academic integrity.
